Which will need to be familiar with and able to perform all aspects of residential/commercial landscape maintenance including estimating, production, client service, crew training and safety. The Landscape Maintenance Manager directly oversees Crew Leaders and technicians daily while, frequently ensuring jobs are being performed efficiently, with quality and on budgeted time, daily.

Responsiblites
- Instills our company vision and values everyday throughout the maintenance division.
- Oversees & coordinates day-to-day activities for up to 8 maintenance crews with 1-3 technicians on each.
- Identifies & coordinates equipment asset & material needs for the maintenance division.
- Ensures all job orders are completed and any change orders are processed properly daily.
- Manage crew productivity for each assigned job, ensuring that tasks are completed on or before the total estimated hours.
- Understands the unique qualities of each maintenance contract well and ensures work is performed within estimated hours and budgets.
- Monitors the quality output of crews and quickly catches and corrects deficiencies to maintain client expectations and retention.
- Mentors and trains technicians for skill development, increased responsibility, and career progression.
- Ensures safety procedures are followed & corrects unsafe work conditions.
- Mentors’ employee performance and gives frequent feedback to team members.
- Evaluates new hire applications and participates in the recruitment process with support of the VP of Landscape Maintenance & General Manager.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and achievement of the company’s strategic plan.
- Assists in the development and implementation of training initiatives for production.
- Effectively manage budgets for each assigned customer while striving to meet branch financial goals and maintaining a high level of service.
- Manage work force scheduling appropriate to each maintenance account in their portfolio.
- Oversee timely dispatch, proactive scheduling, equipment management, vehicle maintenance needs and tool equipment management for their portfolio.
- Responsible for the daily operation and management of assigned trucks, fuel card procedures, weekly vehicle inspection report, safety checks, maintenance, and storage.
- Review team members attendance reports daily and to ensure that all labor hours are accounted for and coded correctly.
- Attend landscape job walks with customers as necessary and walk each job in their assigned portfolio a minimum of once per month.
- Attend customer board meetings as needed outside of normal business hours.
- Responsible for the completion and closing of open work orders and maintenance requests.
- Ensures that jobs follow the Plant Health program guidelines.
- Continually evaluate individual team members and identify training needs to high potential employees for career advancement.
- Builds and enhances the skill level of team members.
- Will be responsible for the planning, preparing, and posting of daily work schedules to execute job functions as estimated in the scope of work and defined by the contract.
- Conduct daily meetings with assigned Foremen to discuss scheduling, work orders, equipment assignment, crew staffing and special requests. Will facilitate daily the crew departure from B&K.
- Record previous day’s job schedule and verifies the accuracy of daily timesheets utilizing GPS system for employee and job information. Submits completed timesheets by 8:30am.
- Review Job Reports daily for job status, correct billing, and job profitability.
- Perform administrative duties as requested to support the finance department and senior management.
- Equipment Management
- Monitor GPS system and administer corrective discipline for alert violations.
- Perform weekly truck inspections for cleanliness, damages, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment for weekly service schedule and report missed services.
- Participate in company sponsored training program. Provide instruction to new and existing employees on the proper use of equipment in group sessions and individual training.
- Inventory Management
- Conduct regular inventory inspections for materials used within department.
- Monitor assigned and spare equipment.
- Participate in companywide inventory counts.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethic code as outlined in employee manual. Ensure all policies outlined in the employee manual are administered to employees under their management.
Sales Expectations:
- The annual sales goal for contract change orders is 20% of landscape maintenance contract dollars under the management of the Account Manager. Sales from change orders will qualify for a 2% commission provided the following criteria is met.
- The Account Manager must manage all stages of the sales process i.e., bonding & rapport, up front contract, pain, budget, decision, fulfillment, and post-sell.
- The Account Manager must facilitate the implementation of the change order.
- The net profit is greater than 20%.
- Commission reports are to be submitted quarterly for payment.
- The following job functions are not subject to commissions:
Maintenance Contracts, Maintenance Renewals, Mulch Applications, Irrigation Start-ups, Irrigation Shut-downs.
Quality Control
- Perform onsite property inspections to ensure correct horticultural practices are in effect and quality control meets the expectations established by B&K Lawn and Landscape.
- Participate and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to employees to promote quality, performance, and profitability.
- Communicate regularly with client to ensure quality control objectives are being met to the client’s expectation.

Salary: $41,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
